I was honored to be asked to participate in my VERY first Blog Hop. To support and raise awareness for Autism is just an added bonus.

In my day job, I run a Child Care out of my home and over the years I have had Autistic children in my care.  While they were challenging, they are well remembered and taught my family and myself a lot about compassion and the struggles that they not only deal with each day but also how it affects their families.

I am very glad that this blog hop will bring awareness to those in need.   What a perfect month to have this blog hop as April is Autism Awareness month.

Here is my card that I chose to create for this Blog Hop.  I used the four colors that are in the Stampin for Autism banner and it is bright and cheerful.  The caption "celebrate" embodies how we should face each day.  I added balloons as they are fun and this card is perfect for a special birthday.

Here is a close up of the balloons, I used lots of dimensionals and layered the balloons, I overlapped them to really create the feel that they were floating.

I hope you enjoyed this blog hope as fellow demonstrators and myself try to bring awareness to Autism through our love for stamping and creativity!!  Thank you to all of my fellow Stampin Up Demonstrators who joined me in raising awareness for Autism.

Autismfacts

Researchers have found that the area of the brain called the amygdala was on average 13% larger in young children with autism compared with children without autism.

Autism is the fastest growing disability among children in the United States today!
